Unity4 and Texture3D

The new Texture3D support in Unity4 is an absolute gift when it comes to planet shaders! It's not documented very well (at all!) so it took some trial and error to get working.

Very nice looking planet! I'm looking forward to having the time to play with 3D textures too, for volumetric data viz. Any suggestions based on what you've learned? How does the render overhead compare for 3D vs 2D textures?
